All natural changes

Im like every other girl when it comes to skincare and makeup, I'll buy into the hype of a product, purchase it, and then can be often disappointed for one reason or another. So lately my skin has been acting up, and I have been breaking out like crazy, and so i started looking for a solution and I think I've found one.
All natural skincare and cosmetics are hard to come by and they are definatly not cheap either, but I think that with the help of a lot of research and a fantastic youtuber, i have found the solution to my need for natural skincare and cosmetics.

Firstly after watching Kassie or CloudyApples youtube videos on natural skin remedies and skin care I started doing my own research into the oil cleanse, now I have dry to combination skin and I get breakouts on my chin mostly, and this has been working amazingly for me. Now all you oily skin girls are thinking I'm crazy, but I've read a lot of reviews of oily or combo skin girls and they have all loved it too.

For the cleanse you will need 100% organic, hexane free, cold pressed castor oil and organic cold pressed olive oil or avocado oil. You will need to have a sink full of hot water and soak a face cloth in it, apply a mixture of castor oil and your other oil to your face and massage in for a few minutes, then apply the hot cloth to your face and leave on until the cloth cools and finally use the hot cloth to remove any excess oil on your face. I will leave a link at the end of this post to Kassie's video on how to do it if you need a more visual representation.

I have been doing this oil cleanse 1-2 times a day for a week and my skin looks noticeably glowier, feels smoother and cleaner. As for my breakouts, they have almost disappeared. This cleansing routine in combination with a gentle face cleanser ( I use the Michael Todd honey and oat cleanser) and some tea tree oil, have made my skins overall texture look and feel better while battling those last few pesky spots.

As for natural cosmetics I have been looking into concealers and foundations mostly and i have ordered Dr Hauschka's concealer stick after reading some great reviews and i have been eyeing up the ere perez oat milk foundation also. Both Dr Hauschka(www.adorebeauty.com.au) and ere perez( http://www.ereperez.com/)  have all natural products and are readily available in Australia for a not overly expensive price.

I have been incredibly impressed with the natural changes i have made to my skincare routine and i look forward to experimenting more. If anyone has a good recommendation for any good all natural makeup products please let me know and i speak to you soon.

Have an awesome day
Jess

Finding the best "ME"

This photo was in January, and I had lost about 30kg
since the beginning of my journey. I don't use
scales so i cant tell you the exact amount lost before this
photo and after.
Over the last few months I have been on a path of self-discovery and self-acceptance. I'm trying to make myself a better person in all aspects of my life and I honestly think it is important to make yourself the best version of you that you can be.

About 16months ago I decided that I was going to try and live a healthier lifestyle, which for me meant giving up a lot of crappy junk food, eating better, healthier foods and living a more active lifestyle. I have been on a journey to become healthier, slimmer and happier, and in all honesty, the changes I have made were some of the most important changes I needed to make.

This photo was taken a few years ago, and this wasn't my biggest,
This photo makes me sad, but I can see how far I've come.
Giving up junk food and beginning regular exercise was only the first step in my journey, but it has helped me lose a great deal of weight, and gain a lot of confidence and self worth. I followed his up with taking better care of my hair and my skin through good routines, which I am still trying, i have recently had keratherapy and I am trialing their hair products and will be trying the new Michael Todd organic skincare range (reviews to come in the future). Above all others, I tried to be a better person, getting rid of people in my life who were bringing me down, or who had a bad influence and attitude, making better choices with my study and the peopleIi wanted to spend time with. Having dedication to do the things I wanted to succeed in, and the confidence to do it well.

This journey was not easy, and it is not over, this is going to be a life long battle between trying to be happy and falling back into old habits, but to find the best me, I have to give it my all. I am proud of what i have achieved and where I am right now, I'm not where I want to be with my weight, hair, skin or overall health, but i am A LOT closer then I was 16months ago, and it gets easier each day to break up with the bad habits to form a path for the good ones.

My everyday face

So I have been gone for a little while but I'm back now and I recently bought myself an iPad mini for my 20th birthday so I will hopefully be able to post more on this, as it is more convenient.

So my everyday face will change on a reasonably regular basis as I have a lot of base products that I like to try out :) that's being said the routine that I go through everyday is the same with interchangeable products. So lets get into it.

The products I use as a base change everyday as I said, today's products consisted of my keromask camouflage cream which I'm very fond of for covering redness and any blemishes I happen to have and overall just setting a nice natural looking base. On top of that today I also applied a light layer of mineral makeup by prestige just to give a slightly darker colour as my camouflage cream can be a little light for my skintone in e summer.

For blush I used my korres lip butter in wild rose as a natural flush of colour, for all over bronzer I used a light dusting of my elf cool bronzing powder and used a small amount of NYX taupe for a contour.

And lastly for eyes I just used my in the know palette from stila, which is a matte palette that I like to use for everyday wearable looks. And finally a light coating of the revlon 3d volume mascara to finish off the look. Usually I would use my beloved maybelline illegal lengths mascara but I finished it up yesterday and decided to try something new.

So that's my everyday routine for when I'm going out, as I said this changes slightly everyday and somedays I will just wear a bb cream alone but this look is my go to everyday wearable makeup.
Most products are available in target or Kmart Australia, for my stila palette I purchased it from asks and for my keromask makeup it is avaliable from the keromask website or ebay.
Thank you for reading and I hope to see you soon xx
