Finding the best "ME"

This photo was in January, and I had lost about 30kg
since the beginning of my journey. I don't use
scales so i cant tell you the exact amount lost before this
photo and after.
Over the last few months I have been on a path of self-discovery and self-acceptance. I'm trying to make myself a better person in all aspects of my life and I honestly think it is important to make yourself the best version of you that you can be.

About 16months ago I decided that I was going to try and live a healthier lifestyle, which for me meant giving up a lot of crappy junk food, eating better, healthier foods and living a more active lifestyle. I have been on a journey to become healthier, slimmer and happier, and in all honesty, the changes I have made were some of the most important changes I needed to make.

This photo was taken a few years ago, and this wasn't my biggest,
This photo makes me sad, but I can see how far I've come.
Giving up junk food and beginning regular exercise was only the first step in my journey, but it has helped me lose a great deal of weight, and gain a lot of confidence and self worth. I followed his up with taking better care of my hair and my skin through good routines, which I am still trying, i have recently had keratherapy and I am trialing their hair products and will be trying the new Michael Todd organic skincare range (reviews to come in the future). Above all others, I tried to be a better person, getting rid of people in my life who were bringing me down, or who had a bad influence and attitude, making better choices with my study and the peopleIi wanted to spend time with. Having dedication to do the things I wanted to succeed in, and the confidence to do it well.

This journey was not easy, and it is not over, this is going to be a life long battle between trying to be happy and falling back into old habits, but to find the best me, I have to give it my all. I am proud of what i have achieved and where I am right now, I'm not where I want to be with my weight, hair, skin or overall health, but i am A LOT closer then I was 16months ago, and it gets easier each day to break up with the bad habits to form a path for the good ones.
